Caber Toss Rules:
-
Each individual is allowed 2 tries at a caber (smallest to largest). No practice throws!
-
A successful throw is a full rotation landing between 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock from the direction the contestant was running.
-
Each individual must stand their own caber up. Clan members may support the base of the caber as caber is stood up.
-
Clan members (NOT the thrower) collect the cabers
-
The individual continues to throw as many cabers as they are able.
-
Individuals may skip a caber if they choose, but they will not be able to go back to a smaller caber.
-
-
If you successfully toss the caber on the 1st try, you will be scored higher than members who failed their first attempt, but make it on their second attempt.
-
Throw 7 cabers to make it into the finals
-
To determine caber champion if no contestant can flip the final caber, the last successful caber tossed closest to 12 o’clock wins
-
If there are 2 caber lanes going at the same time, wait till your neighbor throws his caber then throw yours and then clan members can collect cabers.
